Zach Beurskens, age 22, of Mitchell, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at his home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Will Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dean Ulmer of the First Reformed Church officiating. Visitation will be 3:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, January 10 at the Will Funeral Chapel.

Zachary Taylor-Joseph Beurskens was born April 1, 1993 in Grand Island, NE to Joseph Beurskens and Denice (Bardsley) Funderburg. Zach graduated from GMG High School in Garwin, IA in May, 2011, where he enjoyed singing in the choir.

Zach was currently a factory worker for AKG in Mitchell, SD. He enjoyed reading and videos games; especially My Little Pony Animation. He was halfway through the process of becoming a police officer, which was his life dream.

He is survived his mother Denice (Bardsley) Funderburg; stepdad John Funderburg; sister Dani (James) Gavagan; nephews Donovon and Brecken; niece Layla; brother Andrew Beurskens; grandma Twila Raul; uncle Don Bardsley; uncle Bill Raul; aunt Dee Bardsley and cousin Josie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Beurskens; and grandfather, James Bardsley.
