William Titze, age 87, of Mitchell, died January 15, 2005 at the Firesteel Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday January 19, at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Burial will be in St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery, rural Dimock. William was born January 27, 1917 on the family farm in rural Mt. Vernon, SD to William and Anna (Sperlich) Titze. He attended Baker #10 country school. He worked as a farm laborer wherever he could find work, including Wisconsin and West River, SD. He built a farm across from the family farm. He married Bonnie Schrank on October 14, 1946, at rural Dimock. They continued to farm until retirement in 1979 and then moved to Mitchell in 1984. He continued to help on the farm and do woodworking during his retirement. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a former member of St. Johns Lutheran Church where he served on the church council. He also served on the Baker Township School Board and the Davison County Soil Conservation Board. William is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two daughters: Barbara Ahrar and husband, Hamid, Prescott, Wisconsin and Deb Nebelsick and husband, David of Mt. Vernon; nine grandchildren, Dan Nebelsick and his wife, Elizabeth, Rock Rapids, IA, Darius Ahrar, Prescott, WI, Amber Groendyke and her husband, Jason, Webster City, IA, Roxy Ahrar, Prescott, WI, Josh Nebelsick, Mt. Vernon, SD, Shenna Ahrar, Prescott, WI, Ben Nebelsick, Mt. Vernon, SD, Shari Ahrar, Prescott, IA, and Jonathan Nebelsick, Mt. Vernon, SD; and one sister, Martha Buehler, of Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and six sisters.
