Obituary

William Bill Ruden age 60 of Alexandria, died Sunday March 25, 2007 at the Golden Living Center in Salem, SD. Funeral services are 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 28 at St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church in Alexandria. Burial will follow at St. Mary of Mercy Cemetery in Alexandria. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM Tuesday at the church with a prayer service beginning at 7:00PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. Bill was born on January 19, 1947 to Clarence and Ida (Schulz) Ruden of Emery SD. Bill grew up on a farm north west of Emery. He graduated from St. Martins Catholic School of Emery. He married Eileen Weber on June 28, 1969, and worked at Moormans Plant in Alexandria, SD. He was employed from 1969 to 1995 when the plant closed. Bill married Julie Wagner on May 15, 1982 at Hitchcock Park and blessed at St. Mary of Mercy Church in Alexandria. He then drove gravel truck until he became disabled. He was a member of St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church and the American Legion Post 41. He also served in the National Guard. He is survived by his wife Julie, sons: Dennis and special friend Bridget Bame of Alexandria, Tim of Crooks, SD, Lane and special friend Katie Kampshoff of Alexandria. Three grandsons Shawn and Blake Ruden, and Cole Matthew. Three brothers: Gerry Ruden, of Mitchell, John Ruden (Donna) of Spencer and Jim Ruden (Donna) of Emery. His mother in law Kathy Wagner of Alexandria, and several nieces and nephews, two sister-in-laws Marge Wagner of Alexandria, and Kaye Krietlow (Rick) of Mitchell and brother-in-law Jack Wagner of Emery. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law Jim Wagner.
