Walter A. Rubel, age 82, of Irene, SD (formerly of Mitchell, SD) died Monday, March 26, 2018 at Sunset Manor in Irene, SD. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Thursday, April 5,2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Holy Family Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.

Walter Rubel, son of Walter and Eva (Kippes) Rubel, was born December 1, 1935 in Mitchell, SD.

He is survived by his sister, Mary (Larry) Greene, Wichita, KS; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Marjorie (Schroeder) White.
