Virginia Rose (Regan) Easton was born on December 21, 1932, to Kenneth and Dorothy (Campbell) Regan on December 21, 1932, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Mitchell, SD.  She grew up on a farm near Letcher, SD, and graduated from Letcher High School.  She enjoyed being outside and spending time with her sisters, Beverly and Barbara, and with all the surrounding farm families.  In October of 1951, she married David Crouch in Minnesota and a daughter, Diane (Regan) Royalty, was born to this union.  On May 4, 1954, she married Charles (Chuck) Easton and together they raised four children, Susan Easton, Julie (Steve) Anderson, Steve Easton, and Rick (Cindy) Easton.  Chuck and Virginia lived on a farm northeast of Mitchell for over 40 years, where Virginia enjoyed being a farm wife.  She also worked at Nepstad's Flowers, Newberry's, and the A.S.C.S. Office in Alexandria, SD.

Together, they enjoyed polka and square dancing, playing cards, and socializing with many friends.  In 2000, they retired and moved to Mitchell.  They enjoyed traveling to Branson, visiting an occasional casino to gamble, and spending time with their family.  Virginia was a member of the UCC Congregational Church, the Pleasure Pals Extension Club of which she was a founding member in 1956, the Friday Night Bowling League and the Prairie Stitchers Club.  She also enjoyed collecting Swarovski Crystal, growing African Violets, and her cross-stitching.  She continued playing cards and doing jigsaw puzzles at Edgewood Senior Living, where she spent the last few years.

She is survived by her five children, Diane (Regan) Royalty (David Einck); Kerry Royalty and Kris (Amber) Royalty; Susan Easton,  Julie (Steve) Anderson; Dustin, Rob & Matt Schrank (Natasha Stern) and Brandi & Kristi Anderson (Caleb Aguilar); Steve Easton, Jennifer (Travis) Wittenhagen, Jason Easton, and Justin Easton, and Rick (Cindy) Easton, Zach (Amy) Easton, Ben (Mallory) Easton, and Jake Easton; 10 great-grandchildren, Sam & Austin Hanten, Kolton & Jacey Royalty, Acaydias Pickner, Chloe Schrank, Dempsey Easton and Sophie Lucero, Riley & Adelyn Easton, four step-great grandchildren, Bentley, Emily, Cory, and Jesse, and her sister, Beverly Shannon, a brother-in-law, Ernie Giese, many nieces and nephews, brothers/sisters-in-law, and a host of other family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Chuck, her parents, Kenny and Dorothy Regan, her sister, Barbara Giese of Aloha, OR, and her son-in-law, Ronnie Royalty.
