Trevor M. Vaughn age 21, of Mitchell died Friday, July 20, 2018 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD as a result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Northridge Baptist Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Servicemen's Memorial Cemetery with military rites.

Trevor Michael Vaughn was born to Aaron and Wendy Feistner Vaughn on May 6, 1997. He attended Longfellow Grade School and graduated from Mitchell High School in 2016. After joining the National Guard, he began his first year at Dakota State University in Madison, SD. He was enrolled to start his second year this fall.

Trevor loved going on wagon train rides with his grandpa Lloyd and riding horses. He played football in grade school and his freshman year of high school. Trevor was an accomplished artist in drawing, painting and multimedia. He had several articles displayed at the state fair over the years.

Trevor entered the South Dakota National Guard on September 5, 2016 and completed his basic training at Ft. Jackson, SC on November 10, 2016. After his basic training he began his AIT training on November 11, 2016 and completed his training on February 23, 2017 at Ft. Lee, VA. Trevor was a Private First Class and was a wheeled vehicle mechanic.

Grateful for having shared his life are his father, Aaron (Trisha) Vaughn, Mitchell, SD; his mother, Wendy (Warren) Carter, Freeman, SD; two sisters, Cassi (Doug Schwabe) Vaughn and Brooke Marie Vaughn and a nephew Quentyn John, all of Mitchell, SD; his grandparents, Leonard and LouAnn Feistner, Madison, SD and Lloyd and Sally Vaughn, Mitchell, SD; and a special friend, Devin Kurtz, Tyndall, SD.

He was preceded in death by an infant half-brother, Cody.
