Todd Strong (Travis Mercede), age 50, of Sheridan, CO, formerly of Artesian and Mitchell, died at the Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver, CO May 25, 2015. Graveside services will be 4:00PM Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell, followed by memorial service at 7:00PM Wednesday, June 3 at the Will Funeral Chapel, with a visitation from 6:00-8:00PM. Todd was born June 3, 1964 in Mitchell to Dannie and Helen (Smith) Strong. He attended grade school in Mt. Vernon and was very active in 4-H and graduated from Artesian High School. Todd worked at Syncom, Allen's Restaurant and Burger King in Mitchell, before moving to San Diego, CA where he was a hotel manager. He later moved to Oakland, CA where he installed and repaired windshields on vehicles. He then moved to Denver and was currently working delivering packages for a delivery service in the Denver area. Todd enjoyed gardening, baking, caring for his birds and his cat "Percy", fish aquariums, his cars that he collected, and photography. Grateful for sharing his life are his mother Helen Strong of Mitchell, SD; sisters Sherri Brummett and her husband, William of Mitchell SD, Christy Larson and her husband, Jason of Pierre, SD; brothers Wesley Strong and his wife, Sharon of Sanford, NC, Randy Strong, Mitchell, SD, Marty Strong of Sheridan, CO; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father Dannie Strong; infant brother and sister-in-law Jane Strong.
