Obituary

Timothy Wayne Tilberg age 54, of Ethan died Friday, August 18, 2017 from complications of pancreatic cancer at St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 21, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Mitchell with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery in Ethan, SD. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell.

Tim Tilberg son of Wayne and Melva Jo (Kisler) Tilberg was born July 15, 1963 in Rapid City, SD. He grew up on the farm north of Ethan, attended school in Ethan and graduated from Ethan High School in 1981. Tim worked for his dad on the family farm and for ten years in the winter he drove a snow cat at Monarch Mountain in Salida, CO. He was united in marriage with Susan Bamberg in Armour, SD on April 12, 1991. The couple moved to the family farm. Tim continued to farm until his death.

Tim loved driving his cars, drag racing, skiing and hanging out at Mike's Corner.

He was a member of the Ethan United Methodist Church.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife Susan  Tilberg, Ethan, SD; a daughter, Shelly Tilberg, Mitchell, SD; son, Hanner (Adrianna DeWald) Tilberg, Ethan, SD; a grandson Vinton Timothy Tilberg of Ethan, SD; an aunt Mary Lou Tilberg of St. Paul, NE; his in-laws Louis and Dona Bamberg of Corsica, SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Tracy Freeman.
