Timothy Lee Schoenfelder age 55, of Summerville, SC, formerly from Mt. Vernon, SD died peacefully Friday, September 22, 2017 at Hospice of Charleston in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. A memorial funeral mass will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mitchell, SD. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Emsley Cemetery rural Ethan, SD after the mass and lunch fellowship.
Tim was born on June 25th, 1962 in Parkston, South Dakota to Lloyd and Janie Schoenfelder. Tim graduated from Mount Vernon High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota. Tim was a veteran of the Navy and his favorite assignment was as a supply officer in Sigonella, Italy. Tim helped manage several financial businesses during his work career. Tim loved playing golf and watch wrestling with his son Noah.
Tim is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cheryl, daughter Lauren Conway (Chris), sons Josh Daniels (Gabbi) and Noah Schoenfelder, grandchildren Nick, Sienna, and Savannah Conway and Payton and Sunny Daniels, his mother Janie Schoenfelder-Peterson (Darwin Peterson), siblings Douglas Schoenfelder (Sara), Daniel Schoenfelder (Karen), and Meribeth Morris (Scott), sister-in-law Mary Schoenfelder, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Tim was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Schoenfelder, brother Thomas Schoenfelder, and grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you would instead make a contribution to the Noah Schoenfelder Education Trust. Please address the check and the envelope to the Noah Schoenfelder Education Trust and mail it to 3315 Cobblers Court, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
