Thomas Dean Boggs, 71, of Alexandria, SD passed away September, 2, 2021 at his residence from natural causes.  Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Will Funeral Chapel.  Burial will be in Servicemen's Cemetery in Mitchell, SD with Military Rites.

Thomas was born December 24, 1949 in Yankton, SD to Lawrence and Marcella (Gunther) Boggs.  He attended school in Alexandria.  After school he joined the Army; he was stationed in Germany.  He later joined the National Guard and assisted in helping with the 1972 great flood in Rapid City.

After the military he was employed with Boggs Excavating and Plumbing. He was then a self-employed plumber until his retirement.

Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his kids.  He enjoyed working in his vegetable garden and canning vegetables.  Thomas made fantastic pickles.

Grateful for having shared his life are his daughter, Toni (Melick) Russell, brothers, Roger (Nancy) Boggs, Dennis (Gail) Boggs, sisters, Cheryl Phillips, Lynda (Roger) Fonder, Debra (Ernie) Hohn, Julie (Randy MiIller) Hein, Cindy Boggs, Lisa (Keith) Johnson, grandchildren, Destiny, Jaida, Jasmine, Malachi and Micah.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and son, Adam Boggs.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
