Obituary

Terry Lee Smith, 52, died Thursday, October 11, 2007, at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 16, 2007 at the Will Funeral Chapel, with Reverend Keith Nash presiding. A luncheon will be provided after the service, with burial to follow in the Eventide Cemetery in Woonsocket. Terry was born on October 16, 1954, in Perry, Oklahoma to Ezra and Dessie (Hutton) Smith. He was affiliated with Life Quest previously known as MAATC in 1974. Before that he and his family lived in Woodward, Oklahoma where Terry attended school. Terry worked in Mitchell at a variety of work situations, but is probably most remembered from his position at Ampride on Main Street where he pumped gas and served the public. Terry was well known throughout the community, and welcomes all to attend his services, which will be a celebration of his life, especially since this falls on his birthday! Grateful for having shared his life are his sister, Janet McCay, of Mitchell, SD; his niece, Heather Ott, and her husband Keith, also of Mitchell; his nephew Chris Jones and wife Stacey of Corpus Christi, TX; and his three great nieces and nephews Christopher and Makayla Jones, Corpus Christi, TX and Jade Ott, Mitchell, SD. He has three Aunts, Edna Knutson, Mitchell, SD, Lela Case, Mitchell, SD, Faye Cypert and her husband, Bob, Salt Lake City, UT, and many cousins and friends. Terry was preceded in death by his father and mother Ezra and Dessie (Hutton) Smith; Aunts and Uncles Rufus and Hope (Hutton) Farber of Midwest City, OK; Kenneth Knutson, Artesian, SD; Tom Case, Mitchell, SD, and Wayne and Susie Hutton of Ohio.
