Sylvia A. (Hohn) Miiller, age 94, of Mitchell, SD died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Queen of Peace Hospital, Mitchell, SD.  Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Friday, June 25, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 PM.

Sylvia A. Hohn, daughter of William and Clara (Baldwin) Hohn, was born December 3, 1926 in Presho, SD.  Sylvia lived in the Dimock area and moved with her family as a young child to Mitchell.  Sylvia came from a family of 11 children, seven brothers and three sisters.  On November 14, 1944, she was united in marriage with Milen Miiller and from that marriage four children were born.  The couple farmed together in the Mitchell area their entire life retiring in 1995.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, whose first priority was her family and their needs.  She played a mean card game and did not like to be set in her bid.  She enjoyed dancing in earlier years, her garden, cooking, and sewing projects of all kinds.  She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Mitchell SD.

Grateful to have shared in her life are her children; a daughter, Shirley Hendrix (Mitchell, SD) and her children Nikki (Tom) Gere (Pierre, SD) and their children Tyler and Brady Gere; Terry Hendrix (Mitchell, SD) and his children Liam and Ethan;  a son, Darwin (Cheryl) Miiller (Salem, SD) and their children Erin Stoffel (Salem, SD) and her children Griffin, Grace, and Haden Stoffel; Jason (Stephanie) Miiller (Clive, Iowa) and their children Noah, Grayson, and Oliver Miiller; a daughter, Cheryl Miiller (Mitchell, SD); a daughter-in-law, Julie Miiller (Mitchell, SD) and her children Scott Miiller (Mitchell, SD) and his son Triston Miiller (Savannah, GA); Melissa (Josh) Augustin (Arvada, CO) and their children Ryleigh and Emersyn; Angie Miiller (special friend Matt Buchholz), Lennox SD.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milen, in December 1998, a son, Gerald Miiller, a son-in-law, William Hendrix;a grandson-in-law, Travis Stoffel, her parents, seven brothers; Andrew, Robert, Matthias, William "Bill", Frank, Jerome "Bud", and Sylvester; three sisters Celestine "Sal", Caroline Sigmund, and Marge Bick.
