After a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Steve Edward Schoenfelder passed away peacefully on August 13th, 2021.  A memorial service will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Mitchell SD on September 17th at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will follow at the church.

Steve was born December 29th, 1960 to LaVern and Shirley Schoenfelder.  He spent his time doing chores on the family dairy farm in Hanson County, playing drums and riding motorcycles.  He graduated from Hanson High School in 1979.

Steve started dabbling with car stereo equipment in the 80's, working out of a shed on the farm.  He then started working at Stereo Town, which lead to opening his own store Sound Pro's.  He operated Sound Pro's for over 20 years.  A great love for the game of pool took him on his next chapter.  A hobby of working on his own pool cue (because no one could do it right) turned into working on friends' pool cues, which lead to starting Cue Sales & Service.  Steve traveled to regional, state and national pool tournaments all over the U.S.  His customer service was impeccable and his smile lit up a room.  In 2021 Steve was inducted into the South Dakota Pool Hall of Fame, and The Heartland

Pool Tournament Hall of Fame.  It was an honor for him to be recognized for his impact on the game he loved, and he was always there to encourage others in their own game.

Steve is survived by his wife Lynda, his sons Max and Beau, his sister Michele, his nieces Amanda and Alexis and his nephew Zane, brother in-law Bryan, sister in-law, Susan and nephews Aaron and Nathan, and mother in-law, Helen.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
