Steven W. Anderson age 70, of Mitchell, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be said 10:30 AM Monday, October 8, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Burial will be at a later date.

Steven Wayne Anderson was born June 3, 1948 in Sioux Falls, SD to Donald and Dorothy (Olson) Anderson. He graduated from Yankton High School and Dakota State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Economics.

Steve married Patricia (Kilbride) on August 8, 1970 in Wakonda, SD. He lived in Madison, SD for 25 years working with Gehl Manufacturing before moving to Mitchell and was a Purchasing Agent for Trail King Manufacturing for 15 years, retiring in 2009.

Steve loved golfing, playing pool and spending time with his family. He loved cooking out on the grill and working on his lawn and enjoyed golfing with his friends, brother and dad. He loved playing with his new granddaughter, his cats and grand dog Lucky, and Steve was willing and enjoyed helping others.

Steve lived his life on the go. He enjoyed spending time and two children. When he wasn't with his family or golfing, he was in Yankton spending time with his parents and siblings. Steve loved having a good cigar with his golfing buddies and also enjoyed taking his grand dog Lucky on many walks around Bella's Butterfly Garden. Many who knew Steve, knew that Steve always had a joke and loved giving others a hard time. In 2002, Steve and Pat welcomed their first grandchild, Iszabella (Bella) Morgan. Steve loved spending weekends outdoors playing in the yard. In 2012, his granddaughter Iszabella (Bella) left this world to be with the Lord. In 2017 they were blessed with their second grandchild Kenidee Miller and enjoyed chasing her around.  He lived to do what he loved doing on a daily basis and will be deeply missed by those who knew him and loved him.

Steve was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Moose Club, Lakeview Golf Club, Mitchell 8 Ball Pool League and The Chain Gang.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife Pat of Mitchell; son Ryan Anderson of Mitchell; daughters Vanessa Anderson (Jay Miller) and granddaughter Kenidee of Shakopee. MN and Jeanie Morgan and grandson Spencer Morgan of Mitchell; mother and father Donald and Dorothy Anderson of Yankton, SD; sisters Jackie (Jerry) Koster of Yankton, SD, Gail (Craig) Kennedy of Yankton, SD and Janell (Tom) Dickson of De Pere, WI; brother Kevin (Julie) Anderson of Mt. Prospect, IL; nine sisters and brothers-in-law.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Iszabella Morgan; two brothers-in-law Patrick Kilbride and Brian Kilbride.
