Steve Hoss Goldammer, age 56, of Mitchell, SD died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday March 29, 2011 at the Will Funeral Chapel with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the Will Funeral Chapel.

Steve Hoss Goldammer, son of Raymond and Caroline Goldammer, was born January 14, 1955 in Mitchell, SD. He grew up and received his education in Mitchell. Hoss graduated from Mitchell High School in 1973 and attended Mitchell Technical Institute for a year. After his schooling he worked on the family dairy farm. In the early 1980s he began his employment at the Kongo Klub in Mitchell. Hoss continued at the Kongo Klub becoming the manager. In the late 1990s he began working for a security company in the Mitchell area. Hoss then began working at Van Dykes in Mitchell and remained there until June of 2010 until his health forced his retirement.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially the Minnesota Vikings.

Hoss was a member of the South Dakota Dart Association and the Moose Lodge.

Grateful for having shared his life are his parents, Raymond and Caroline Goldammer, Mitchell, SD; three sisters, Kate (Clyde) Goin, Sioux Falls, SD, Mary Jones, Sioux Falls, SD, and Barb (Brad) Larson, Mitchell, SD; a brother, Jeff (Janell) Goldammer, Mitchell, SD; many nieces and nephew and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
