Stephan L. McEntee, age 68, of Mitchell, SD died Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Avera Brady Health and rehab under hospice care. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.

Stephan L. McEntee, son of Lawrence and Mabel (Lindblad) McEntee, was born July 10, 1954 in Mitchell, SD. He attended school at Notre Dame and graduated from Mitchell High School. After his schooling, Stephan worked at Lakeview Golf Course and later moved to Chandler, AZ where he was employed at a golf course. He moved back to Mitchell in 1984 after his father's death to take care of his mother. In Mitchell he installed lawn irrigation systems. In the early 2000's Stephan began his employment with Avera Hospital in the Housekeeping Department. He retired in 2016 after 12 years of service with the hospital.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, landscaping, playing cards, throwing darts, puzzles, listening to rock n' roll music and especially working on his cars. He truly loved being there for his family and friends and his dog "Buddy".

Survivors include his brother Richard "Dick" (Shirley) McEntee, Mitchell, SD; two sisters, Carole (Bill) Davis, Huron, SD, Janis McEntee, Sioux Falls, SD; 10 nieces and nephews; 29 great nieces and nephews; 30 great great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Delores "Tooty" Gossman; a brother in infancy, James; and a brother-in-law, Paul Gossman.

Memorials will be directed to the Mitchell Animal Rescue.
