Shirley Ann Liddeke age 73 of Mitchell died Sunday August 3, 2008 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Thursday at First United Methodist Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Shirley Ann Miller, daughter of Harold and Mildred (Munger) Miller, was born April 23, 1935 in Mitchell, SD. She grew up in Mitchell and attended school in Mitchell. After her schooling Shirley, was employed as a secretary at New Berrys Shirley was united in marriage with Lloyd Liddeke on October 26, 1953 in Mitchell, SD. The couple made their home in Mitchell and Shirley was a stay at home mom and raised their children. On August 3, 1978, Shirley began working at Burger King in Mitchell. After 30 years of service with Burger King, she retired three months ago when her health forced her retirement. She was a member of First Methodist Church. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grateful for having shared her life are her four children, Steve Liddeke, Mitchell, SD, Janell (Jeff) Goldammer, Mitchell, SD, Kent Liddeke, Mitchell, SD, Julie Crang, Mitchell, SD; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Thompson, Rapid City, SD. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Liddeke on September 8, 2003; her parents; and four brothers, Jack, Walter, Gordon and Keith. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Shirleys name.
