Shelton (Shelly) Schuh, age 78, of Plankinton, SD passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Avera Borman Manor in Parkston, SD. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2020.

Shelton, son of Gedion and Agatha (Semmler) Schuh, was born May 28, 1941 in Delmont, SD. He grew up on the family farm, attended country school, and graduated from Delmont High School.  He received his Bachelor's Degree from Southern State Teacher's College in Springfield, SD in 1970.   He taught Industrial Arts at Ethan and Platte Public Schools, and later owned livestock auctions in Corsica, Platte and Wessington Springs, SD.  Shelly enjoyed being a cattle buyer and put a lot of miles on his pickup as he visited many farms and ranches throughout Eastern South Dakota.

Shelton was married to C.R. Uecker for 29 years and together they had three daughters. He enjoyed watching local high school sports, working with horses, playing cards with his friends, keeping an eye on the Twins and Vikings, and spending time with his family (always willing to check the cows or give rides on a new horse or pony or in a buggy).

Grateful for having shared his life are his three daughters, robin Klosterman, Rhonda (Ray) Schulte and another daughter, two son in laws, 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, siblings: Mildred Halsey, Larry (Rosemary) Schuh, Charmain Schuh, sister in law, Mary Schuh, a dear friend, Gayle Drake, and eight nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James and Curt Schuh.

Service is followed by a family and friends reception where all are welcome to join and share memories. The burial service will be for family only at Delmont Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 2777 E. Camelback Rd., #330, Phoenix, AZ 85016, or to ALS in his honor.
