Shauna Kiner, 45, Mitchell, S.D., died Monday, May 20, in her home.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 24, at Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. A funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Burial will be at a later date in Graceland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family of Sadie Kiner in Shauna's memory.

She was born on August 7, 1978, in Mitchell.

Shauna was known for her patience, kindness, wit, humor, caring nature and cleverness. She was smart and joyful. Above all, she loved deeply, especially her children.

She attended schooling and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1996. She went on to attend Mitchell VoTech, then later graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University with a nursing degree. She started her career at Firesteel Health Care. She then transitioned to Avera Queen of Peace hospital, where she worked on the medical/surgical floor for many years. In her most recent years, she found great fulfillment in her dream job at Avera @ Home, touching countless lives as a nurse.

Shauna enjoyed many activities such as softball, darts, swimming, spending time with her children, camping, razor rides and anything that involved being in the sun.

Shauna will be immensely missed and is survived by her children Sadie Kiner of Mitchell, Andrew Kiner of Rapid City, Mason DeGeest and Sophie DeGeest and her fiancé, Shawn Styles all of Mitchell. She is also survived by her Mother, Karla Erickson (Bob).  Siblings Orry Kiner, Nicole Jarding (John), and Shelby Ahrenstorff (Caleb) all of Mitchell, and her grandmother Deloris Hafner of Mitchell, and her grandson Brodie of Rapid City. Additionally, Shauna is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Shauna was preceded in death by her father, Michael Kiner, her grandfather Marvin Hafner, and her grandparents Loretta and Wayne Kiner.

Shauna worshiped at Zion Lutheran Church, where she was also baptized and confirmed.
