Scott Hille age 47, of Mitchell died Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at First Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM at First Lutheran Church with a prayer service beginning at 7 PM. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Will Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Scott was born April 17, 1965 in Parkston, SD to Junior and Carol (Bamberg) Hille. Scott graduated from Mitchell High School in 1983, after graduation he worked as a cook for Happy Chef West for a short period of time. Scott then went to work for Palace Cleaners and Laundry where he was employed for 25 years and was still working up until his time of death. He was a statistician for KMIT radio for the Mitchell Kernel's and Dakota Wesleyan Tiger's basketball and football games, traveling all over the country with the teams. Scott also umpired for 20 plus years, umpiring league and tournaments for the men's and women's slow pitch. If you knew Scott he was a gentle and fair individual with a heart of gold willing to help anyone out. Grateful for sharing his life are his father Junior and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his mother, grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
