Samuel Louis Sand, 70, passed away on June 29, 2019 at North Memorial Hospital in Robinsdale, MN. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 am on Tuesday July 30, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church; Mitchell, South Dakota.
Samuel was born May 18, 1949 in Mitchell, SD to LaVonne E. Sand (Young) and Donald L. Sand. He attended and graduated from Notre Dame High School, Mitchell SD in 1967. Samuel then went to Florida and was a horse attendant for the horse track. He later moved to Denver, CO to attend Mechanics school. Samuel then became an over the road truck driver which he did for 40 years.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Esther (Trabing) Sand of Brooklyn Park, MN; three sons, Brian (Emily) Sand of Minneapolis, MN, Brice (Laura) Sand of Corcoran, MN, Kurt Sand of Plymouth, MN and a daughter; Kara (Brandon) Keillor of Otsego, MN; his brother, Dan (Cathy) Sand of Mitchell, SD; sisters, Mary Schonebaum of Yankton, Sd; Cathy (Bob) Allbaugh of Bettendorf, IA; Bonnie (Dan) Paule of Henderson, NV and Becci (Jody) Gregg of Lake Elmo,MN.; and seven grandchildren.
Samuel was preceded in death by parents.
