Ryan Marvin Geidel age 31 of Mitchell, SD died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Dimock, SD with burial at Immanuel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Ryan Marvin Geidel was born in Mitchell, SD on August 27, 1984 to Marvin and Mary (Volz) Geidel. He grew up on a farm east of Corsica, SD, and later moved to Sioux Falls Children's Care Hospital and School where he lived from August 30, 1988 to March 16, 2006. He then attended Sioux Vocational Day Program during the week from June 13, 2005 to March 16, 2006. Ryan moved to Mitchell on March 16, 2006 to be closer to his family and lived at LifeQuest-Gamble Street Apartments. Ryan's hobbies include listening to music - especially Western music, watching movies, taking field trips, and spending time with his special friend, Sarita Truman. Grateful for having shared his life are his mother, Mary Geidel, Aberdeen, SD; two brothers, Scott Geidel, Mitchell, SD and Mark Geidel, Salem, SD; two sisters, Tracie (David) Barreca, Mundelein, IL and Kelli (Randy) Meister, Aberdeen, SD; 7 nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Sarita Truman. He was preceded in death by his father Marvin Geidel, and his grandparents. Memorials may be sent to Gamble Street Apartments or Children Care Hospital and School.
