Obituary

Rosella Sally Pollman, age 87, of Mitchell, died May 20, 2005 at the Avera Brady Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday at the Wesleyan Church. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at the Wesleyan Church with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel. Rosella was born on April 23, 1918, at Wilton, North Dakota to Chris and Regina (Kost) Herman. She attended school in Tripp, South Dakota. She worked at various jobs before her marriage to Andrew Pollman on September 26, 1940 in Minnesota. They farmed in the Fulton and Ethan areas and then moved to Mitchell where she worked for Armour Co. as a state egg inspector. She also worked at Mitchell Packing and as a dietician at Firesteel Healthcare Center. She is survived by two grandchildren, Kevin Hughes and wife, Denise and Tina Knock and husband, Bruce, all of Mitchell; three great grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Jung and husband, Roman, Portland, Oregon; three brothers, Eddie Herman and wife, Joan, Rudolph Herman and wife, Angeline, all of Mitchell; Eugene Herman of Parkston and several numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Marlene Hughes Painter, six brothers, Leon, Ruben, Elder, Leonard, Ervin and Emil and one sister, Viola Andree.
