Rose Ann Wagner, age 93, of Mitchell, SD (formerly of Alexandria, SD) died Thursday, November 24, 2022 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday, December 3, 2022 at St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church, Alexandria, SD with burial at St. Mary of Mercy Cemetery, Alexandria, SD. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 PM.

Rose Wagner was born at Alexandria on Nov 18th, 1929 to Mike & Mary (Stoltz) Heiter.  Rose attended Wayne #1 and Alexandria High School.

Rose was united in marriage with Robert Wagner in 1946 at St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church in Alexandria. They lived on the family farm east of Alexandria until they retired and moved to Mitchell in 1988.

Rose worked for Dr. Armstrong and Dailey Dental for several years and also volunteered at Queen of Peace Hospital, Middle Border Museum and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church in Alexandria where she was president of the Catholic Order of Foresters. She most recently was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mitchell, the Altar Society and the Prayer Network.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children David Wagner and wife Vera, Sylvia Wagner and husband Robert Pullman, Anthony Wagner and wife April; and grandchildren Christine Wagner and wife, Chrissy McBride, Nicholas Pullman and wife Charlotte, Katherine Wagner and William Wagner.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert (2006); her parents; her two infant sons, John & Michael; and her three brothers, Clarence, Virgil, and Merle Heiter.
