Rose Fousek, age 92, of Mitchell, SD died Sunday April 6, 2008 at her residence. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday at the Will Funeral Chapel with burial at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Rose Ded, daughter of Joe and Mary (Novotny) Ded, was born February 2, 1916 in Tripp, SD. She grew up in the Tripp area and attended country school. After her schooling, Rose helped on the family farm. Rose was united in marriage with Clarence Fousek on December 15, 1945 in Tyndall, SD. The couple made their home in the Tripp area, farming SE of Tripp. In 1959 they moved to a farm near Mitchell, SD. They continued to farm near Mitchell until Clarence death on March 15, 1977. In 1978, Rose made her home in Mitchell. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Grateful for having shared her life are her three children, Janice (Rodney) Ozanne, Mitchell, SD, Kenneth Fousek, Excelsior Springs, Mo, Pamela (Zack) Waldner, Huron, SD; two grandchildren Craig (Paula) Ozanne and Melissa (Jeremy) Engles; five great grandchildren Andrew Engles, Nicholas Engles, namesake Samantha Rose Engles, Aaron Jones and Aubrey Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; her parents; two brothers, four sisters and brother-in-law.
