Rosaline B. Brech age 81, of Mitchell died Tuesday August 26, 2008 at Firesteel Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, August 30 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial at Servicemans Memorial Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 PM Friday at the Will Funeral Chapel with rosary beginning at 7:30PM.
Rosaline was born on June 28, 1927 in Parkston to John and Annie (Munterfering) Thome. She grew up and attended grade school in Parkston. She was united in marriage to Wilfred Brech in Parkston on February 9, 1948. The couple lived and farmed in White Lake, Parkston, Mt. Vernon and Mitchell areas. Rosaline worked and cooked for the VFW, Moose Lodge, and Wilge Nursing Home in Mitchell.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She and Wilfred worked many bingo nights together. Some of her great pleasures were bingo, playing cards and most of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Grateful for having shared her life are her daughters Shirley Gromer, Mitchell and Carol Olivier, Mitchell. Granddaughters: Deanna Gromer Linda VandenOever, and Stacy Olivier. Grandsons: Duane Gromer Jr., Scott Geppert, Casey Gronewold, Cory Gronewold, Josh Olivier and step-grandchild Allen Dobson. Great grandchildren: Crystal Steinfeld, Zach Goos, Courtney Goos, Casey VanDenOever, Brandi VanDenOever, Kaden Geppert, Porter Geppert, and Kathryn Olivier
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter Shari Gronewold, her parents, brothers Sylvester and Norbert. Her sisters Margaret Hohn, Laura Smith, Clara Brech; also one nephew Melvin Hohn.
