Ronald Sullivan, age 84, of Omaha, NE (formerly of Mitchell, SD) died Thursday, December 7,2017 at Josie Harper Hospice House in Omaha, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, December15, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell, SD with burial and military rites at Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell, SD. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM.

Ronald Sullivan, son of Anthony and Helen (Donoho) Sullivan, was born August 9, 1933 in Mitchell, SD. He grew up in Mitchell and attended school, graduating from Notre Dame School in 1951. After his schooling Ron was employed at Chef Louis in Mitchell.

Ron was united in marriage with Loretta Coyne on June 2, 1953 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell. He entered the US Army on September 15, 1953 and served in Germany and Austria. Ron was honorably discharged on January 27, 1955 and returned to Mitchell. While in Mitchell, he began working for Culhane's Dairy. Ron continued with Culhane's Dairy for 39 years, retiring in 1991 as the frozen food manager.

In his retirement he enjoyed working in his yard, spending time with his wife and having coffee with friends. In his younger years, Ron loved to bowl.

He is a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the VFW, the American Legion, the Elks and the Moose Lodge.

Grateful for having shared his life are his three children, Ronette (Craig) Guymon, Platte, SD, Lynnette (Fred) Cunningham, Dearborn, MI, Jinette (Paul) Lichter, Omaha, NE; six grandchildren, Aaron Charlson, Blake Guymon, Chantel Cunningham, Danielle Cunningham, Bailee Lichter and Jacob Lichter.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta in January of 2003; his parents and a brother, Wayne.
