Ronald Norbert Roth, age 74, of Mitchell died Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Avera Queen of Peace ER. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mitchell with burial and military rites at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, May 11, 2018 at the Will Funeral Chapel.

Ronald Norbert Roth, son of Norbert and Ellen (Laffey) Roth, was born October 17, 1943 in rural Stickney, SD. He grew up in the Stickney area and graduated from Stickney High School. Ron entered the US Army on May 11, 1965 and served in Fairbanks, AK. He was honorably discharged on April 15, 1967 and returned home.

Ron was united in marriage with Dianne Sigmund on May 10, 1966 in rural Stickney, SD. Ron was employed with Coca-Cola Bottling Company for 45 years as the accountant, retiring in 2012. Most recently he was working for the City of Mitchell as a part-time maintenance employee at the Mitchell Recreation Center. Ron enjoyed traveling and especially loved being a snowbird in Arizona this past year.

For years, He and his wife, Dianne managed the concession stand at Cadwell Baseball Park. He loved meeting his numerous coffee groups, spending time with family and friends and attending all of his grandchildren's events.

Grateful for having shared his life are his four children, Kevin (Becky) Roth, Mitchell, SD, Michelle (Tom) Moe, Scott (Vicki) Roth, both of Sioux Falls, SD, Travis (Kelli) Roth, Dell Rapids, SD; eight grandchildren, Alex, Cierra, Brittany, Caden, Haley, Matthew, Emma and Cooper; two brothers, Dale (Dorothy) Roth, Rapid City, SD, Roger Roth, Gillette, WY; a brother-in-law, Ed (Lyla) Sigmund, Mitchell, SD; and a special friend, Betty Boone, Mitchell, SD.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne and his parents.
