Robert (Bob) Olson age 57, of Mitchell, SD (formerly of Fulton, SD) died Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Celebration of Life services will be 1:30 PM Sunday, June 12, 2016 at the Menno Livestock Auction Barn in Menno, SD. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.

Bob was born July 16, 1958 in Mitchell, SD to Melvin and Betty (Martin) Olson. He attended school in Fulton, Farmer and Alexandria, SD. Right out of High School Bob's passion was the livestock industry. Buying, selling and hauling for himself and many others were "Bob's" way of life. Before falling ill he was also currently employed as lead man of sanitation at Pet Performance for the last 10 years.

He enjoyed hunting, farming, auction sales, and coffee with his buddies, sale barn days and his "phone". He was a very giving person who helped many people and expected nothing in return. Bob was loved and admired by a lot of people and will always be remembered and never forgotten.

Left to cherish his memories are his sister Lynn TerMeer of Mitchell, SD; brother Jack Walton of Glendale, CA; nephew Brint (Kim) Jorgensen of Mitchell, SD; niece Amy Jorgensen of Mitchell, SD; very close cousin Danny Turner of Aberdeen, SD; aunt Shirley Olson of Worthington, MN; numerous great nephews and nieces and many close friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents; nephew Ken Jorgensen; numerous aunts, uncles and some very close friends.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Home Health givers, staff at Avera Q.O.P.; Avera St. Benedict in Parkston; Michelle and Chris Pietz; The Cancer Institute of Zion, Ill for their attention to his comfort during his illness.
