Robert G. Hoscheid age 75, of Mitchell died Wednesday, November 30 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday, December 3, 2016 Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be 6 to 8 PM Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell with   a prayer service beginning at 7 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Cemetery in Alexandria, SD.

Robert George Hoscheid was born August 5, 1941 in Mitchell, SD to Joseph and Violette (Heineman) Hoscheid. He graduated from Alexandria High School in 1960. He married Dorothy Rands on June 5, 1976 at the United Methodist Church in Alexandria, SD.  Out of high school, Bob started his life long career as a restaurant owner- owning restaurants at Alexandria, Emery and Mitchell. For over 40 years he has been known throughout the area for his cooking but most popular his baking of homemade pies and rolls. After selling his businesses, he then was employed at the Holiday Inn and Coborn's.  After a long storied career, he was forced to retire due to health concerns.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife Dorothy of 40 years; son Ryan (Donya) Hoscheid of Sioux Falls, SD; granddaughter Dilyn Hoscheid of Sioux Falls, SD; sister Kay (Larry) Thompson of Fremont, NE; brothers-in-law Richard Rands and Roger (Kathy) Rands of Mitchell, SD; sisters-in-law Shirley Lloyd of Sioux Falls, SD and Charla (Alvin) Hamaker of Chester, VA; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, fathers and mothers-in-law and grandparents.
