Richard F. Sayles, age 84, of Mitchell, SD passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020 at his home. A private family service will be held.

Richard was born February 14, 1936 in Mitchell to Lloyd and Gertrude Sayles. He married Violet Dutt in 1959 in Tolstoy, SD.  To this union were born four lovely daughters who will always remember him for the many picnics and bike rides around the lake; teaching us life skills (we can all change the oil and our own car tires) and for just being a super fantastic Dad, Grandpa, and Great grandpa, always with a twinkle in his eye.

He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Vi; four daughters, Patty Sayles, Jackie (Ron) VonEye, Steph (Lonnie) Sayles-Nedved, Karen (Jon) Altman; one brother; three sisters; and so many grandchildren and great grandchildren that we lost count.
