Richard Chronister, age 58, of Mitchell, died Saturday January 13, 2007 at his residence under hospice care. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, January 17 at Will Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 - 8PM Tuesday at the Will Funeral Chapel. Richard was born on April 29, 1948 to Wandlen and Alvina (Schutt) Chronister in Mitchell. Richard grew up and attended Mitchell schools. He later moved to Illinios and worked for Illinois Tool Works. He also met Janice Bollack and the couple were married on August 6, 1966. In 1973 they moved back to Mitchell where he worked at Owatonna Manufacturing and later with Rogers Home Improvement. He later was married to Linda Lane on August 5, 1994. He was self employed doing construction and remodeling. Richard was in construction and carpentry for over 30 years. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson, loved working in his garage, built many things including 3 Harley Davidsons, a VW Trike, and a wagon and toy box for his grandsons. There was nothing he couldnt fix. Richard is survived by a daughter Pamela Pereboom and friend Kent Burdick, Mitchell, two step daughters, Nicole Lane, Denver, CO and Crystal Lane, Mitchell; one brother, Steve, and wife, Virginia, Boise, ID and two sisters, Janice Chronister and Sharon Evans and husband, Robert, Lincoln NE; also 2 grandsons; Chaz and Tanner, 3 stepgrandsons: George, Charlie, and Gabriel and nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
