Obituary

Regina Sperlich, 91, formerly of Dimock, died August 8 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday at St. Johns Lutheran Church, rural Dimock with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at the Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. Regina was born on September 26, 1913, west of Dimock to Fred and Bertha (Moeschner) Neugebauer. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Johns Lutheran Church and attended rural school. On October 15, 1930, she married Arthur Sperlich, and was the first couple to be married in the newly built St. Johns Lutheran where she remained a lifetime member and of the WELCA. They farmed all their lifetime west of Dimock. Due to ill health, she spent the past several months at her daughters residence south of Rapid City. She is survived by three daughters: Gladys (John Jr) Guthmiller and Marian (Ron) Neugebauer all of Gillette, Wyoming and Carol (Marvin) Neugebauer, Hermosa, SD; twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, a step brother-in-law, John Sperlich and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999, her parents, two sisters, Amanda and Matilda, and four brothers, Oswald, Herbert, Sam and George Neugebauer.
