Raymond Orville Shafranek was born December 5, 1922, to Vincent and Margaret (Sticha) Shafranek at Letcher, SD. He attended High School in Letcher and graduated in 1941. After graduation he worked with his father in the well-drilling business. Raymond enjoyed reading, art, and especially working in his garden. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Anne Bluhm, Elsie Podhradsky, and Edna Schafranek.
