Priscilla A. Olsen, 75, of Mitchell, died Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Avera Queen of Peace. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at the Will Funeral Chapel on Monday, September 10, 2012. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 with burial to follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Priscilla Anna Dorothea Olsen was born at home in rural Kaylor, SD on June 7, 1937 to Emil and Emma (Winter) Bietz. She attended school through the 8th grade and at age 14 moved to Mitchell and worked at Shermer's Drug. She sent a portion of her earnings back home to help her family. Later she was employed at Red Owl grocery store. Priscilla was united in marriage to Robert Olsen on September 18, 1955. Robert and Priscilla farmed in the Mitchell area. Priscilla was a 4-H leader for over 25 years, one of her highlights of her 4-H leadership career was the National 4-H Leaders Convention in Washington, DC. Grateful for sharing her life are her husband Robert Olsen of Mitchell; daughter Linda and her husband Robert Henglefelt of Ethan, SD; two sons Larry and wife Dawn Olsen of Mitchell and Lance and wife Kari Olsen of Mitchell; two brothers Hubert and Leland Bietz of Mitchell; grandchildren Peggy (CJ) Prickett, Ryan Henglefelt, Cady Henglefelt, Keith (Tabbatha) Henglefelt, Danielle (Chad) Radel, Hillary (Steven) Hauser, Katlyn Olsen and Kennedy Olsen; great grandchildren Jadyn Henglefelt, Mikalah, Nathan, Tanner Prickett and Carter Radel. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Hildor Peterson and Darlene in infancy.
