Phillip L. Corbin age 76, of Mitchell, died Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Letcher, SD.

Phil was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on November 12, 1941, the first of three children, to parents Louis and Hellen (Staggs) Corbin. Phil spent 14 years in the United States Military during which he served two tours in Vietnam. He married his sole mate Brenda Attebery in Elko, Nevada on October 8, 1977. They spent most of their marriage in Utah relocating to South Dakota in 2011.

Phil was  a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Michael Corbin, sister Charlotte (Corbin) Wood, and niece Erin Corbin. Grateful for sharing his life are his wife of 40 years Brenda Corbin; five children, Lisa Stain, Christopher (Erin) Corbin, Jason "Jay" Dunkley, Tracy Finlay, and Shawna (Clay) Kidder; five grandchildren, Joey, Kimberly, Lane, Dakota and Alissa, and one great-grandchild Kyrian.
