Pauline (Polly) Allen, 99, of Mitchell passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020. Per her request, there will be no services.

Pauline was born at home in rural Kranzburg, SD on April 30, 1921 to Max and Theresa Kern.  After graduating from high school, she moved to Sioux Falls to work as a waitress.  With her twin sister, she moved to the San Francisco area and resumed her waitressing career.  She married C. R. Allen in the late 50's.  In 2005, she moved to Mitchell to be near her sister, Rose.  She was witty and enjoyed life to the full.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 14 siblings.  She is survived by her niece, Joanne Geraets, and several other nieces and nephews.
