Paul August Weber, age 83, of Mitchell, SD died Monday, May 11, 2015 at Avera Brady Nursing Home. The wake will be held at Will Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 13th, from 6-8:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, May 14th at Holy Family Church in Mitchell. The burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Dimock, SD at 1:00pm following the mass and luncheon. Paul August Weber, son of Fred J. Weber and Appalonia (Schoenfelder) Weber, was born December 11, 1931, Dimock, SD. He attended school at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School in Dimock. He served in the US Marine Corps, where he received the Good Conduct Medal prior to his honorable discharge in 1959. Paul was a carpenter and well driller for most of his life. He enjoyed playing cards mostly pinochle and cribbage, and was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He loved attending and participating in local dances where he was a popular dance partner. He was an active member of the Holy Family congregation and a proud member of Knights of Columbus of Mitchell. He was very grateful for the opportunity to share his life with his 4 children; Patricia (Michael) Rook of Littleton, CO and their two children John and Kristin, Dennis Weber and son Drew Weber of St. Paul, MN, Randy (Danielle) Weber of Longmont, CO and their two children Christopher and Jocelyn, and Rodney (Elizabeth) Weber of St. Paul, MN and their two children Doug and Sasha; sisters, Adeline Thuringer, Pauline Muntefering, Irene Tischler and Sally Miiller. He is joining in Heaven his parents; Fred and Appalonia, brothers Wilfred, James and infant brother Alvin, sisters Cecilia, Rose and Viola, and infant daughter Mary. He will be sorely missed by all for his friendly, loving demeanor and his quick smile.
