Paul H. Schumm, age 65, of Alexandria died Friday, April 30, 2010 at his home in Alexandria after a lengthy illness.
Paul was born on August 31, 1944 in Hannibal, MO to Paul Sr. and Helen (Hinkle) Schumm. He graduated from Hannibal High School in 1962 before joining the US Army in 1963. Paul served in France and Germany as a cryptographer and was honorably discharged in 1969. He worked at the Electric Wheel in Quincy, IL. later for the Burlington Northern Railroad in Gillette, WY for 11 years. He married Susan Robertson on July 16, 1977 in Custer, SD and the couple made their home in Gillette, WY. They moved to Alexandria and started working for Dakota Pork in Mitchell for 12 years. He was an avid fisherman, bowler, and liked playing softball and cards.

Schumm Jr. of Quincy, IL.; Sonja Rose Turner and husband Brian of Quincy, IL and Keith Mosley of Durham, MO.; his mother Helen Schumm of Frankfort, SD. 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Ann Brummett and husband Wendal of Frankfort, SD and a brother Leroy Wayne Schumm and wife Kitty of Vine Grove, KY.
He is preceded in death by his father, his maternal and paternal grandparents.
