Paul Andachter, 91 of Sioux Falls formerly of Mitchell, died Saturday June 11 at the VA Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 15, at the First Lutheran Church of Mitchell with burial following at Servicemans Memorial Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Tuesday June 14, at the Will Funeral Chapel of Mitchell with prayer service beginning at 7:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Paul was born on March 17, 1914 in Parkston to Jacob and Marie (Liske) Andachter. Paul grew up on the family farm and attended school in Delmont. He was married to Shirley Thoming on January 14, 1947 in Delmont. They continued to farm in Douglas County until retirement in the early 80s. In 1992 the couple made their home in Mitchell, then moving to Sioux Falls in 1996. Pauls passion was spending time in the familys print shop. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Sioux Falls; two children: Dennis (Karen) Andachter, and Belva Richards both of Sioux Falls; three grandchildren: Michael (Anna) Andachter, Timothy (fianc, Bree Ann Richardson), Amy (Brian) McEntee, four great-grandchildren: Allison, Brianna, Collin, and Matthew. He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
