Obituary

Patricia L. Ryberg, age 85, of Omaha, NE died Monday, December 29, 2025 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Monday, January 5, 2026 at St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell, SD. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM Monday, January 5, 2026 at St. Mary of Mercy Catholic Church in Alexandria, SD. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell, SD.

Patricia L. (Hoscheid) Ryberg, daughter of Jack and Hazel (Plagman) Hoscheid, was born October 22, 1940 in Mitchell, SD. She attended all eight grades at Wayne #3 Country School, Alexandria, SD. Pat graduated from Alexandria/Hanson High School in 1958 and attended one year of college at South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD and Harbor Junior College in Wilmington, CA.

Pat was united in marriage with Gary D. Ryberg on June 13, 1970 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell, SD.

Pat enjoyed 43 years of employment with various Administrative/Executive positions and Corporate Relocation Specialist while living and working in six different states. She was employed 11 years with the South Dakota Welfare Department in Mitchell, SD, 1  year at the University of Northern Colorado Office of Special Needs, 2 years at Electro-Deburring Company in Milwaukee, WI, six months at General Dynamics Corp at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Lompac, CA, I year at Solar Turbines in San Diego, CA, six years at the US Immigration Service Regional Offices in San Pedro, CA and Dallas, TX, 18 years at Diamond Shamrock/Maxus Energy Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, TX and as an Executive Secretary and Human Resource Corporate Relocation Specialist. After retirement from Maxus Energy, She worked as Relocation Consultant at OXY Chemical Corporation in Dallas, TX and later as a Associate Relocation Specialist for Primacy Relocation Company in Omaha, NE.

She retired a second time in 2006, to stay home and take care of her husband, who was ailing from Multiple Systems Atrophy. Caring for her husband's health was the most rewarding job of her life.

Pat was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Omaha, NE.

She enjoyed interior decorating, traveling, flower gardening and spending time with good friends.

Patricia's is survived by two sister in law's: Judy Hoscheid and Yvonne Cooper; her nephews Brian Hoscheid and Kevin Burkhalter; her nieces Amy Goss and Kathy Puga.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Jack Hoscheid, her Mother Hazel Hoscheid, her husband Gary Ryberg, her brother Terry Hoscheid and her brother- in- law Walden Cooper.
