Patricia A. (Lynde) Brink, age 83 died Friday September 29, 2017 at Firesteel Healthcare Center, Mitchell SD surrounded by family. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Mitchell, SD. Visitation will be from 5 pm – 7pm on Monday October 2, 2017, also at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, with a prayer service beginning at 7 pm.

Pat was born on October 2, 1933 near Canova SD to Kermit Roosevelt Patrick (Pat) Lynde and Leona Beatrice (Cole) Lynde. She attended country school near Howard, SD until the family moved to Mitchell in 1943. She then attended and graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School.

Pat was united in marriage to Donald Leroy Brink on January 14, 1953 at Holy Family Catholic Church. They had been married 43 years when Don passed in 1994.

An incredible work ethic followed Pat throughout her working years including some of her favorite jobs as "the donut maker" at Sunshine Foods in Mitchell for 14 years, a short stint at Firesteel Healthcare Center and finally retiring from Brady Memorial Nursing Home laundry services at the age of 70 in 2003.

Pat enjoyed many hobbies over the years including sewing, crocheting, knitting, and crafts in general. She also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and traveling whenever possible.

If asked what her greatest accomplishment in life was, she would undoubtedly reply HER FAMILY! She adored her children grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren! Seeing them in pictures or in person always brought a huge smile to her face!

Pat is survived by her family – 3 sons Nick Brink (Deb), Jerry Brink (Lydia) and Tony Brink (Char) all of Mitchell SD, 3 daughters, Kathy Tietz (Bill) of Rapid City SD, Leanne Rubin (Bill) and Ronda Bartscher (John Futrell), both of Sioux Falls SD and 1 daughter-in-law Sharon Brink of Mitchell SD. 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Rolland Lynde (Norma) Rapid City, SD Jim Lynde (Connie) Mitchell, SD; 2 sister-in-laws Vivian Lynde Howard SD, Ruthanne Lynde Mitchell, SD and numerous nieces and nephews!

She was proceeded in death by her husband Donald L. Brink, 1 son Donald P. Brink, 2 grandsons Joshua Tietz, Eric Brink and 1 granddaughter, Anna Mason;  a sister Shirley Bartscher and husband Norbert Bartscher;  brothers, CC, Chuck and Larry Lynde and sister-in-law Bev Lynde.

Pat was known by many names, Mom, Grandma, Sis and Friend!
