Norbert Miiller, age 79, of Mitchell, died Saturday, October 20, 2007, at his home under hospice. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday, with a 7 PM prayer service at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will at Servicemens Memorial Cemetery with military rites. Norbert was born on March 11, 1928 in Douglas County to John and Katherine (Tischler) Miiller. Norbert attended school in Davison County. Norbert worked on the family farm until enlisting in the Army in 1953, where he served in the Korean War until he was honorably discharged in 1955. Norbert was united in marriage with Marlys Weber on August 19, 1958 at St. Peter & Paul Church in Dimock, SD. He then returned to farming until he retired in 1999. Norbert was a former member of the Ethan School Board, and was also a Lifetime member of the American Legion of Ethan and the DAV in Mitchell. Grateful for having shared his life are his wife Marlys Miiller of Mitchell, SD; two daughters, Peggy Takagi and husband Marty of Mitchell, and Cathy Timmerman of Mitchell; a son, Douglas Miiller and wife Danelle of Ethan; a sister, Marie Suhr of Mitchell, along with his 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Clarence and Willard, sister, Florence, a baby sister Delores in infancy, and a brother-in-law, Leonard Suhr.
