Nellie Wilson Doty 92, Mitchell, died Sunday, October 8, 2006 at Firesteel Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 11 at Faith Missionary Church in Mitchell with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM Tuesday at Faith Missionary Church with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Funeral services are under the direction of Will Funeral Chapel. Nellie Rose (Wilson) Doty was born on April 3, 1914, in Williams Township, ND near Crystal Springs, ND to William and Isadore (Plumb) Burton. She attended and graduated school in Tuttle, ND, moving to Mitchell, SD with the Rev. Brown family. She worked for them until marrying Henry Wilson on October 23, 1943. They farmed in the Letcher and Mitchell area until Henrys death in 1969. She continued living in Mitchell working at the Faith Home Nursing Home and as a Dean of the dorms at Faith Bible School. She married Frank Doty on August 6, 1974 and began a new job as lay preachers wife until Franks death on April 15, 1989. She retired living in Mitchell. She is survived by two sons: Monte Wilson and wife, Betty, Mitchell, SD and William Bill Wilson and wife, Deb, Yankton, SD; one daughter, Lorraine Spildener and husband, Richard, Salem, SD; four step-sons: Clifford Doty and wife, Connie, Rapid City; Francis Doty and wife, Judy, Bolivis, NC; Darryl Doty and wife, Barbara and Gary Doty and wife, Audrey, all of Mitchell; one sister, Irene Clemens, Cloquet, MN; 13 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry and Frank, 8 brothers, 2 sisters, 2 children, 2 grandchildren and 1 step-grandchild.
