Nadyne Balding, age 66 of Mitchell, died Saturday, January 26 at her home in Mitchell. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, January 31 at 1st United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, January 30, at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 7 PM. Nadyne Graham, daughter of Floyd and Doris (Ringling) Graham, was born May 5, 1941 in LeMars, IA. She grew up and received her schooling in Mitchell,SD graduating from Mitchell High School in 1959. Nadyne then attended 1 year at Mankato Commercial College in Mankato, Minnesota before returning to Mitchell. She was united in marriage with Gary Balding on September 2, 1960 in Mitchell, SD. The couple made their home in Mitchell, SD. Nadyne was employed part time at the Carpet Pad. She later managed the I-90 Restaurant for 15 plus years. Nadyne later was employed at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in the Public Relations Department. In 1997 she moved to Cottonwood, MN and was the owner/operator of the Cottonwood Skillet. In June of 2001, Nadyne returned to Mitchell and was employed at Hamaker Crop Insurance, Farmers Trading Company and Midwest Grain Marketing. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the South Dakota Quarter Horse Association. Grateful for having shared her life are her two children, Leah Christensen, Ethan, SD, Michael Balding and his wife, Kathy, Holmen, WI; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and a brother, Mark Graham and his wife, Pat, Sioux Falls, SD. She was preceded in death by her son, Craig Newt Balding; parents and paternal and maternal grandparents.
