Nadeen (Wheeler) Stransky age 59, of Mitchell, SD died Monday, April 25, 2016 at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Will Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Will Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Prairie Flowers Cemetery in Fedora, SD.
Nadeen Estelle (Wheeler) Stransky was born February 23, 1957 to Floyd and Alice (Orth) Wheeler in Huron, SD. She was the fourth and final child born into the family. Nadeen was raised on a farm south of Huron, SD. Her school life started in a one room country school house that she attended until the sixth grade. She then attended Junior High and High School in Huron. She graduated from Huron High School in 1976. She went to Denver, CO to attend Cliff Mann School of Floral and Design and received a certificate from there in the same year. She had a real love for flowers. On December 27, 1976 she was united in marriage to Raymond Jerald Stransky. Ray was in Aircraft Maintenance School in Watertown, SD and she worked at Mid-Com where she made telephone parts to help pay his way through school. In 1978 they moved to Havre, MT where she worked in a flower shop until 1980 when they moved to Huron, SD. In 1982 they moved to Ogden, UT where she worked as a babysitter in their home and also at Taylor's Sewing Shop. On June 30, 1984 she gave birth to a boy named Daniel Ray. On January 14, 1986 she gave birth to Tyrone Alexander. The family moved to Jordan, UT in 1988 where she worked in a Day Care Center and went to school to earn a degree as an Under Associate and became Supervisor in the Day Care Center. Also in 1988 they helped start a United Methodist Church in Jordan, UT and were charter members. In 1999 she became a para-educator at West Jordan Middle School. In 2004 she went to work as a para-educator at Jordan High School and worked there until 2013. They moved to Mitchell in 2013, her health started failing and she was unable to work. Her husband Ray and her son cared for her needs. She faithfully attended Mitchell Wesleyan Church until her health problems prevented her.
Survivors include her husband Ray Stransky, son Dan and wife Amanda, son Tyrone, three grandchildren, Kenny Ray, Anna Belle and Xander, her sister Diana Brenner;brother Craig Wheeler and mother-in-law Betty Stransky-North .
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Lance Wheeler, also her father-in-law Raymond Stransky.
