Myron Lee Weisser, age 62, of Mitchell, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the VAMC in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at First Reformed Church with burial at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a prayer service beginning at 7 PM Tuesday. Myron Lee Weisser, son of Reinhold and Emma OLinda (Schweinforth) Weisser, was born November 24, 1945 in Parkston, SD. He grew up in Delmont, SD and graduated from Delmont High School in 1963. After his schooling, Myron entered the US Navy on June 5, 1964 and served aboard the USS Guam. He was honorably discharged on June 4, 1968. He was united in marriage with Jenise Jamtgaard on March 22, 1969 in Beresford, SD. The couple made their home in Mitchell, SD where Myron was employed at Modern Cleaners, UBC Construction, Purolator Courier, Kitty Clover, Amcon and Sunshine Foods. He retired in 1997 due to health reasons. Myron was currently residing at Crystal Manor Assisted Living Center. Grateful for having shared his life are his two children, Angela Harberts and her husband, Bryan, Emery, SD, Jason Weisser and his wife, Helen, Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Jamon, Hannah and Jackson Harberts, all of Emery, SD; Tyler Weisser, Chicago, IL; a brother, Duane Weisser and his wife, Janet, Mitchell, SD; three step brothers, Norb Geidel and his wife, Marlene, Freeman, SD, Dennis Geidel and his wife, Gloria, Mitchell, SD, Marvin Geidel and his wife, Mary, Mitchell, SD; a step brother-in-law, Leonard Neugebauer and his wife, Carol, Sioux Falls, SD; his former wife, Jenise Weisser, Mitchell, SD; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step father, Arnold Geidel; two step sisters, Marion Flemmer and Jan Neugebauer.
