Misty Lynn Bryant went to her Heavenly home after a fierce battle with cancer on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Avera McKenna Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 18, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in Mitchell SD. Visitation will begin one hour prior.

Misty Lynn Jager was born on May 18, 1976 to Cliff and Janene (Kludt) Jager in Huron, SD. Misty spent her early years in the Chamberlain area but in 1983, the family moved to Pierre. In 1990 the family moved to the Twin Cities area where Misty attended and graduated from Minneapolis Lutheran High School. She also completed a two-year program at Argosy University.

Misty was married to Jessee Bryant from 1998 until 2008. She was a staunch recycler; recycling everything from paper to pumpkins. She also was a strong advocate for pet rescues and helped local shelters whenever she could. Her dog, Jace, was rescued from a shelter in Yankton.

Misty always loved to garden and in recent years she grew pollinator-friendly plants in her backyard garden. In the last few years, she started growing milkweed for Monarch Butterflies and was having great success in increasing the numbers that hatched from their cocoons.

She did warranty administration work either at a dealership or from home. It was an at-home warranty position opportunity that brought her to Mitchell in 2019.

Misty was preceded in death by her grandparents on both sides and an aunt.

She will be sorely missed by her parents, sister, Tamara (Michael) Borstad, nieces, Megan (Connor) Kontz, Julia and Claire Borstad and one nephew, Leo along with aunts, uncles, cousins, her dog, Jace, and all who knew her.
