The death of a child, regardless of age, is the most painful event parents will ever experience. A miscarriage is no exception. When the hospital called to inform us of multiple miscarriages that needed to be buried, we were honored to do so. Today thirty-eight babies were given a proper service and burial. Father Tim Cone performed the service while Sister Joyce and I were in attendance. If you or anyone you know lost a child from miscarriage (at Avera Queen of Peace) from March 2019 until July 5, 2020; please know that child has a final resting place in the baby section at Calvary Cemetery here in Mitchell and anyone is welcome to go there, visit, grieve, and begin healing.
