Milton Paul Wolter, age 83, of Woonsocket, SD died Wednesday at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Wessington Springs, SD with Reverend John Paulson officiating. Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery, Huron, SD. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Will Funeral Chapel.

Milton Paul Wolter, son of Paul and Minnie (Klemm) Wolter, was born February 3, 1926, at Alpena, SD. He attended the Steichen Rural School. Milton spent his entire life on the family farm except for three years from 1951 to 1953 when he served in the US Army.

He was united in marriage with Shirley Swenson on October 7, 1956, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Lane, SD. To this union five sons were born.

Milton served on the church council, Sunday school superintendent and Weskota Manor Board.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Wolter, Woonsocket, SD; three sons, Stuart Wolter, Woonsocket, SD, Joel Wolter, Woonsocket, SD, Lowell Wolter, Wessington Springs, SD; two daughters-in-law, Barb Wolter, Perry, IA and Jamie Wolter, Wessington Springs, SD; grandchildren, Steven, Spearfish, SD, Kristen, Lauren and Meghen, Woonsocket, SD, Joseph, Susanne and Andrew, Perry, IA, Logan, Landon, Kaden and Kindra, Wessington Springs, SD; one sister, Lorena Feistner, Sioux Falls, SD; six sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Perry and Kyle; his parents; two infant siblings; and four brothers-in-law.
